Flight Training

Picture of L39

There are no minimum requirements for the number of hours of flight training to be eligible to take the LOA (Letter of Authorization) check ride. We suggest a minimum of 5 training flights to demonstrate the required proficiency in all phases of flying the jet. Depending on the student's previous experience and performance during the first 5 training flight, we may recommend additional training flights until the student demonstrates proficiency in all required events.

Once satisfactory proficiency has been demonstrated, we will arrange for a FAA Approved examiner to give you your check ride and request the issuance of a LOA to you in the L-39C.

Training Flights 1 to 5

All aspects of flying the L-39 will be demonstrated and practiced by the student until  proficiency is demonstrated. Corresponding ground school will precede each flight. The cost of ground school is included. A detailed flight training syllabus is available on request. Each flight is 1 to 1.5 hours in duration. The cost is $ 1595 per hour.

Ground School

As required by FAA Order 8130.27 the following ground training syllabus will be followed in all training in the L-39. A detailed syllabus is available on request. Ground school training is available at $ 50 per hour.
